Western saddle question?
I ride western and I’m looking for another saddle. My last saddle was by American saddlery…I think I want a Billy cook this time around. Or do y’all know of a better saddle maker? What’s a good online saddle shop?
i do ride english occasionally mainly just when i feel like jumping cant work cows in an english saddle though.
and i wasnt planning on buying a cheap saddle. i shouldve asked the question better my last saddle was a barrel saddle and i use it for everything, but i was thinking about getting a cuttin saddle this go round i kind of want a used one so i dont have to go through the pain of breaking it in i hate that part. so i wanted to check out the sites that sold some good saddles and some of ther better brands so i could check em out and see if i could find something i liked
I use to ride nothing but Western, but have gone to English or bareback. What I would suggest though is having a good saddle fitter come help you. Fit is so important for your horses performance. My one quarter horse has a short back and I found that even with an English saddle I was better off with a smaller seat.
