what are the rules/requirements for a “western pleasure training class”?
I’m trying to sell this mare for a friend & she doesn’t have any show experience. I’d like to enter her in some easy low level classes but I’m not familiar w/western shows & classes. what do I need to wear & how do I ride this class?
You will need a long sleeved shirt with a collar, boots, jeans and hat. Your horse can wear whatever training equipment that you use. Unless specified, it will be a walk-jog-lope class, where each horse will perform along the rail with the other horses. You are allowed to ride the horse with two hands, or however you might when just schooling. The poor judge then has to pick which horse performed the best.
