Please help with PC Camp?
I am going to PC camp in a couple of weeks, we have to plait up on last 2 days.
My pony is shown as a Mountain & moorland, long tail and mane, tail can be plaited but mane is too long.
She is not a proper M & M, no papers, but she is part welsh, and i don’t want to cut her mane!?
is there any way that i can make it a bit shorter without actually cutting it?
how do M & M breeders cut their horses manes!?
any advice welcome!

Never, ever cut a horse’s mane. If you want to leave the mane full, then do so. I think Pony Clubs are a bit over the top with their stipulations. If you want to leave the mane natural. Do so.
You could trim the ends by pulling slightly, but cutting will never be successful and leave the horse with a wedge – and not a very straight one at that.
You could try a running plait to make the effort. There are many websites you can look on.
