Gelding losing hair on face?
Ive posted this six times now, and yahoo keeps eating it…
So recently my horse has been losing hair on his face possibly due to scratching. Not massive clumps or anything, just small bits. The patches are not scabby, just fur-less. The Barn Owner thinks its either rain rot or thread worm in the face. Today, we got a fecal count done and it showed that he was negative for worms. But would a fecal count show whether or not he has thread worms in his face ?
As of right now, we are treating this like it is rain rot. and are putting beadadine on it. I also just bought a fly mask today, to keep the flys off his face.

Now, i know he isnt missing alot of hair, but i am still worried at what it is he has.
So, what could he have ?
I have never had a horse lose its hair on its face but here is someone who has had almost the same experience!
