Is this a Good Plan for BP and the Gulf Disaster?
BP’s U.S. assets should immediately be seized and placed in a court-supervised trust fund and used exclusively to pay for:
(a) Containment and cleanup of the oil — ALL of it — and
(b) Unemployment compensation for every person in the fishing, restaurant, hotel, charter-boat, and marine equipment industries in the affected area who lost his/her job since April 20, 2010. The usual UI rules should apply regarding efforts to find substitute employment, etc. Benefits should continue until the EPA and state wildlife officials give the all-clear. If it takes 100 years for that to happen, fine, BP can afford it.
Oh, and the company officials responsible for this mess should be drawn and quartered, their castles burned, steeds and carriages confiscated, wives and children sold into slavery, servants freed, livestock slaughtered, fields sown with salt. We need to be kickin’ it old-school here.

I have been looking at the news and have seen whats happening, I guess the plan seems okay except for what happens if the company can’t afford all of that (even though they deserve it).
Otherwise it seems like a good plan especially the last part.
