Is it possible to jump in an Endurance Saddle?
A treeless saddle? I am not talking about showing.
But there is a really great Endurance treeless saddle for sale and soo low price. But would it be ok to jump around in for fun for awhile until I can get a more jumping-appropriate saddle?
Thanks Everybody!! ![]()
Oh! This is more like an English saddle than Western! Doesn’t have a tree and is definatly more of an English saddle!
Yes, it is fine at lower heights (under 3′) and you cannot depend on stirrups alone to hold your weight. Make sure to distribute your weight over knee and thigh and stirrup. OH! and make sure you have the correct saddle pad for a treeless saddle, this is very important to keep pressure off the horse’s spine. I have a Freeform and LOVE it.
Hope you love yours! I really find it to be helpful with dressage work because I can feel the horse better.
