I want to make horse treats for christmas! Any quick easy recipies?
Basically what i give my horse treats all the time….but for christmas i usually give him his favorite STUD MUFFINS … ahah cuase he’s a stud (in his mind). … but i can’t find any this year!! so i’ve decided to make him cookies! know any healthy good recipies?
lol i have a stud for real…and he likes this mix that i make him.
Part A
You make up a batch of oatmeal(quaker is easiest)
Then add an individual size applesauce
then add a dab of molasses or honey
Part B
1 cup oats
1 cup barley
1 cup cherrios (mine like honey nut)
1/2 cup flaxseed meal (for joints)
1 teaspoon brown sugar
mix the 2 parts and feed it as a lunch or just a snack….
mine goes nuts over it…it’s sticky and sweet….of course horses (especially studs) love it!
if you want, instead of oats and barley, you can put in a cup of sweet feed…..but I changed the recipe b/c my horse colics from swee tfeed.
