A Scottish question….?
Serious question here, doing research.
Have the folks in Scotland had their share of magic in the past? Do you still raise those long haired red cattle?
And please discribe a moor to me in your own words-I can look at pictures all day of a moor but need the feelings that go along with it. Doing designs for a child’s book.
It’s true, everyone feels differently about things, I just want to get the feeling from folks. Like you look at a painting & put yourself there & really feel it.

The Scots have their share of magic and legends – fairies, ghoulies, witches etc. They appear in many Scottish stories and poems — Walter Scott, Robert Burns, etc.
The long-haired highland cattle are widespread, and not just in Scotland.
Moors are usually high, windswept, somewhat flat or rolling with few or no trees. Vegetation is heather, bracken, cotton grass, and other coarse grasses. You will see sheep, occasional red grouse, hares, perhaps a raven or a golden eagle (if you are lucky). The land is sometimes broken up with dry-stone walls ( dry-stane dykes) which run for miles. You will also see little round sheep pens made of stone
