Winter Blanket for my mare?
I plan on getting a blanket for my mare. They are having a big sale at horse.com for them so I decided to order now. I measured her and she is 67″. Most blankets come in either 69″ or 66″. I would also love any suggestion for a good blanket! Not totally expensive though! I live in PA temps in winter range from 50-10 degrees. I am looking for a blanket for the average temps of 40-20 degrees. Thanks for recommendations!
This might also sound picky but her color is purple so I try to keep with the theme. Even if it’s not purple though I would LOVE the help!

Your link doesn’t seem to work but I can suggest a great blanket; rather, a great brand. I LOVE Schneider’s blankets. Their website is www.sstack.com and you simply cannot go wrong with this company. I bought a 1200D, waterproof, 400 gram polyfill blanket for $60 with generous drop length to cover the bigger bellies like that of my Arab. I just love their blankets. I’ve always found Saxon to not be very durable; all mine have ripped or torn pretty quickly. Good luck!
And the color “royal” is really a periwinkle purple color. I ordered it for my Arab gelding and imagine my surprise when it came out purple! But he’s comfortable with his femininity so he still thinks he’s sexy. :]

Edit: I’m sorry, I keep forgetting to add things! :] I would go for the slightly bigger size. That way, you can layer a stable blanket underneath it if it ever gets extremely cold. With a 400g polyfill, I doubt you’d need one unless it gets below zero. It’s better to have a bit big than too small because it can rub.
