opening a photography business?
Hi, so i was wondering what i would need to know about opening a photography business i mean if i do go along with this decision it wont be done until like late next year to be reasonable but i have the prices ready and i have a camera but where would i get the photos processed to give them to people can i just get them done at CVS and tell them what sizes i need and what not or do i need to send them to a special place or would i need to do them my self?? the reason why im wanting to open up a business is because i need to pay for my horses lease and i`m planning on taking pictures of horses and riders at all of the local horse shows and that my stable participates in as well as me, well i hope my question is clear enough and thank you for helping! (:

Are you any good at taking pictures ? Why should someone pay you when they can do it themselves ?
Nowadays most people would use a digital camera and digital prints. Good quality photo printers are quite expensive so it’s easier to go to e.g .Costco or a drugstore or somewhere that does it
professionally. You can take in SD cards or upload over the net.
If you want something that most people can’t do for themselves, or maybe don’t realize, get a good DSLR and get posters printed instead of 6×4s or whatever.
