Pet supplies online, small shop, mega store?
Would you rather shop at a private pet shop for supplies and even animals and pay more money or shop at a mega store petco petsmart superpetz etc and pay a little less or shop online and pay less?
It seems the mega stores and online is putting most of the private shops out but I try to give as much business to the private shops as I can afford so they won’t go out.
How important is a small privately owned shop with knowledgeable people that may cost more than saving money to you?
I would much rather shop at a small shop. Their prices are not that much different on most items, they have better products, they have better knowledge, and are willing to order in hard to find items for you. Many also have better incentive programs so financially it’s about the same.
I would never shop anywhere that sold animals. After working at a mega store that sold them, I will never shop there again.
