I need some advice on doing a probate pro se.?
The probate involves a ranch in Otero Mesa. When Dad died he left a will that left his estate to be divided equally with the three siblings. Oldest sister is executor.The two sisters have a lawyer and have filed 4 friviolous civil suit sagainst me. I am doing this pro se because I can’t afford a lawyer. The executor has done several things wrong handling the estate. For one she gave her other sister the Dad’s pickup and put the title in her name even though the probate has not been resolved. I also want to ask for reimburements for work I have done out there and gas and mileage for going to ranch and feeding livestock. The ranch is a 4 hour round trip. I also want to charge her rent for putting her own cattle and brand on ranch. Now do I have to file a civil suit against her to ask to be reimbursed? Also I want the Judge to know how she has been handling the estate. Do I directly write the Judge or should I include that in the civil suit if I have to file one?
If it’s important enough to fight over, it’s important enough to have a lawyer do it right. All you are doing is screwing up whatever valid claims you might have.
