how much do amish charge to train a horse and are there any good trainers in southern indiana?
i am looking in to a young horse that has not been broke to ride at all she has amazing bloodlines and is not that expensive so I was thinking about sending her to the amish for training but have heard good and bad about them and their methods. i live in seymour IN and but traveling is not a real big issue. how much do they charge and are their results any good. hope you have advise
Be very careful about whatever trainer you take your horse to, Amish or other. The Amish do have a reputation for being rough with their horses, so be sure to ask to see some of the horses that the potential trainer has worked with. If the horses have any fear reactions to human movement, stay far far away from that trainer!
I’m sure there are good trainers in your area. The trick is to find one of them, within your price range and using techniques that you are comfortable with.
