Heifer Names? I need some help please!!!!!!!!!?
I caught in the calf scramble at fair. I am actived in 4h and fixting to get into FFA. I show lambs and polurty. I am in the progess of buying a market goat and a breeding guilt(pig). This is going to be my 1st heifer and I need a good name for her. She is really sweet. We signed the papers for her on Saturday and we are picking her up next weekend. She is a black brangus and 6 months old. She is a resgired black brangus and in the IBBA(Internation Brangus Breeder Assocuation). She is sooooooo sweet. Can you please help me with some names???
Personally I always like flower names for cows/heifers. You should name her after your favorite flower.
I like roses, but Violet is such a sweet name too. Since she is black, you could give her a more exotic name, like Black Jade, and call her Jade. (Jade is a semi precious stone, and it comes in green, black, white, yellow and orange)
You could also name her “Hulder.” Hulder are from Norse Mythology. The Hulder were women of magic who could do both good and bad, usually dependent on how the human acted. The Hulder had long black cow tails under their skirts.
Hulder maidens kept herds of fine fat black cattle, which they herded up the mountians to lovely lush pastures. It was up to the young men to make sure one of those swishing black tails all belong to the cattle, and not one of the maidens. They would sometimes bewitch young men and take them to their underground home, where they had to work for the Hulder Maidens.
