Does this horse look like a hunter to you?
I have been looking at hunters for sale, and I came across this guy. I saw that he was in my area and a good price, so I put him on my list. I asked a “which of these horses do you like best” question on here, and everyone loves him! He is really pretty and a nice horse, but does he really look like a good hunterjumper to you?

I just don’t see it! He doesn’t have really long strides, and his jump isn’t a hunter jump. Why do you like him??
Thank you guys for some REAL answers beyond “oooh! He’s pretty! Get him.” Which is all I got before. I agree with everything, I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t something about him I was missing/not looking at right. I am definately going to keep looking.
I do have to say, I like his blue and orange stuff. Then again, I always say “the brighter, the better!” but thats beside the point.
I 100% agree with Julie and Horse Lover. The only time that the trot improved was when he was allowed to work on a long rein even then his head did not go low enough for him to really swing at the trot.
He has certainly been worked from the front for a head set, probably in draw reins, rather than from behind. This is making him behind the bit and hollow through the back.
I agree in wanting to know what the bandages are hiding and, with them being such bright colours they do distract the eye.
With his jumping he was not using his head and neck at all.
I did not dislike the horse at all but there would be a lot of work to get him moving as he should and working from behind.
