Horses For Sale In Indiana

How far would you travel if you found that “perfect horse” for free?

He is so far away (I live in Indiana), but he is awesome, and free….

It would take FOREVER for me to get over there and test ride him. But he is FREE. And he looks like he has some potential….

Would you do it???
He doesn’t keep his knees even very well, but I think he is just green and needs more schooling under his belt.
What if you found someone trustworthy that lives nearby to test ride him for you? and then paid to have him shipped to your area??
I know someone over there that would be willing to test ride him and evaluate him for free. So I would only need to pay the vet check and the trailering fees.

I realize his form is dangerous, but I think he is just green and needs more work. I don’t know though. His rider sure isn’t helping him out.

And yes, I know the cost of horses, this is not my first horse.

He’s five so I’m willing to bet he’s green. He doesn’t have enough forward impulsion, it looks like he’s getting RIGHT up to the jump before he decides to go over it. I’d call that rider error.

I’d have your trusted associate go look at him and give you their opinion. If that person has an experienced enough eye to tell the difference between rider error or the horse free is worth it. You can also have them take videos and pictures to send back to you to look at him and get a better idea of how he goes, etc.

Add: A quote I got for trailering a horse from OR to ME when gas was $3.50 a gallon was $1,250. That’s literally one end of the country to the other. $5000 for shipping is ridiculous.
