Question about feeding round bales?!?!?
okay right know we are feeding round bales and we are pitch forking it in, but I want to put it in a feeder so that they can eat on it at any time, so my questions are…
1) What do you think about this type of feeding?
2) How long do you think a 4X5 round bale about 800-900lbs last 5 horses?
works great! we have used hay feeders for years now. we use the hay cradle because we had a horse that would step into the round ones that sit on the ground. 
it would last about 4-5 days depending on the horses and how much grass they have and how much they eat of the hay
