Using calming supplements?
what do yall think about using calming supplements? my mare is pretty highstrung, and I am wondering if a calming supplement would help her. Are there side effects? If I do decide to use the calming supplement, and then stop, how will this affect my horse? If I should use a calming supplement, can you suggest some good ones to me? Money is an issue, and cheaper is better. thanks 
well if I were to rate my horse on a scale from 1 (being calm) to 10 (being hot), I would give her a 5. She is just young (4) and needs time to settle down. Lavender oil sounds like a good trick, however my mare gets very tense when you touch her nose, infact she rarely lets me touch her nose for over 2 seconds… she was abused.
Sounds like you have a Right Brain Extrovert. Try working on the horses confidence before you decide to start using supplements. Some of those products can be very damaging to a horses digestive system.
