Likely hood of twin calves to reproduce?
Today February 10, 2009 We had twin calves born. One heifer and one bull. She was born first. I have heard that there is a small chance that the heifer will be able to reproduce. Is there any chance that she will be able to?
It is like less then 10% chance that the heifer will ever been able to conceive. We have a dairy farm and we get rid of all of our female heifers that are twin to a bull. When she gets older if you wanted to raise her a vet could then check if it is possible. However at that time you have a bit of money into her because she will be about a year old.
