Hanoverian/TB cross. Good dressage prospect?
What do you think of this horse? http://horsetopia.horse-for-sale.org/classifieds/ad283627
I’m hoping to learn and move up the levels as much as possible but I am definitely in no rush.
I’m not looking for a Grand Prix dressage horse, just something to do some small shows with, have fun and get as much dressage experience as possible.
I know it’s hard to tell in the video but how far do you think he could go?
He is gorgeous! I think he is very reasonably priced, and looks like he has had some very good training. He looks in excellent health and is in very good condition. Most people should be so lucky as to actually have the oportunity to buy a horse like this! You will be able to enjoy working in the dressage ring and can still jump as well as go on trail rides. He sounds perfect. As far as to what level you might be able to obtain…the sky is the limit! I would think 3rd level at least. Even if he does not have the biggest trot in the owrld, that is completely irrelevant to successful, dressage showing,. you are not only judged on the expressiveness of a gait, but also on how accurate your ride the test, how willing and responsive the horse is, how supple and rythmic he is etc. you should do very well, if you put your mind to it, and take good care of him:)
