how can I become a successful fish farmer?
I have a plot of land 100 feet x 100 feet on which I would like to build some fish ponds and rear either the croaker or catfish. I do not know the technicalities but I know that there is good market for fresh fish where I live. I would like to obtain some information on:
1. construction designs for ponds with capacity of 1,000 fish or more
2. production of fingerlings
3. feeding and rearing from fingerlings to mature fish for sale
4. any othe helpful information
Thank you
University Extension offices have the best information. I don’t know where you’re based, but I’m based in FL so I’m attaching links to UFs extension programs. They have lots of papers & info on aquaculture there that can help.
The second link is to UF’s publications on aquaculture & have a lot of good info!
Good Luck!
