Has anyone used the TetraVacation feeder?
Have you tried this vacation feeder? Did you like it? What size did you use and how many fish did it feed? For how long? Does it live up to the manufacturer’s claim to not cloud water (and not throw the aquarium chemistry off balance)?

Just to clarify, this is the “gel formula” feeder, not a mechanical feeder.

I haven’t used anything like that in years and years. Back when I did though it did cloud the water and killed several fish. I don;t know if they still would or not, it could be the manufacturer has changed them since then. Personally, I wouldn’t use one unless I really, really had to. Remember a healthy fish can go a week or more without food with no harmful effects. If you are going to be gone longer than that maybe you can ask a neighbor to feed the fish once or twice for you.
