Are there any 100% Grass Fed Halal Beef in the East Bay (CA)?
There’s a lot of ranchers in the East Bay selling 100% Grass Fed Beef, but I can’t find a single one using a Halal processor. Are there any in the LAMORINDA area?
I raise meat goats, in Washington state (and I use to live in Idaho). Goats are hauled to Stockton, CA, and sold to a Halal butcher there. He’s the only one I know of in California. Goats are hauled in from all the states near California.
You will have to go to a Halal butcher, but you may also wish to consider a Kosher butcher if you cannot find a Halal butcher close to you. The Kosher butcher will also slaughter by slitting the cows throat. Yes, I DO understand the religious differences. I also know that many of my Muslim customers purchase Kosher meats, since it’s really hard for them to find Halal meats. 90% of my customers are Muslim.
