how do i feed soya bean meal?
i have a 20 year old tb who is a little on the skinny side. at the moment he’s on a daily feed of
1.5 kgs nutririce veteran,
1.5 kgs equibix,
1 cup farriers formula,
and 4kgs combo mix chaff as well as lucerne hay, grass, dolomite, garlic granules and sunflower oil.
the man at the feed store suggested i put him on soya bean meal to help him gain weight. whats a good amount to feed him?
My friend used to feed soya bean meal to her horses and she got me on to it as well for my arab when I got him. It works really well. Well worth it.
Just start out adding a little bit with each meal and then in a week or two you should be able to add a small scoop twice a day to his hard feed.
Just have a look at the amounts on the bag. It should say what they should get fed ideally as to what work they’re doing.
