truthfully, I wouldn’t suggest buying a saddle online. each brand/style of saddle fits a horse differently. If your horse is a different shape that the horse that previously used the saddle, it is not going to fit as nicely as a brand new one (made for the shape of your horse). Plus, your butt is going to fit differently in each saddle.
A good place to get used saddles is a 4-H tack swap. It is the time of the year for state horse fairs, and I would suggest checking those out. I picked up a gently used jumping saddle for $300, a new one of that brand would have been $1000. My sister got a western show one for $500, normally $950. There are a lot of good deals if you know how to look for them.
