Which one (a or b) would be best for:
-dressage
-trail rides
-comfort
-contact

If you have had any experience in any kind of Spanish saddle please tell me what is was like…
Just looking at B. makes me claustrophobic! I like to be able to choose my position in the saddle. I suppose it might be good for the airs above the ground – you certainly wouldn’t come out of it quickly.
Neither one really appeals to me for trails or comfort. A. would also be very secure with that sheepskin seat, and neither one has anything in the way of close contact with the legs – which also means there’s nothing in the way of the horse’s sweat contracting your legs on a long, challenging trail ride. ick.
They were designed as some of the original dressage saddles, though, so perhaps they’d be good for that.
