Goats vs. Huskies??….?
Im planning to get 3 goats in my farmhouse. The only thing stopping me is my dog. She is a Siberian Husky. She is very prey driven. She has killed the neighbors cats, a raccoon(was not full grown), possums, frogs, pigeons, you name it! She is fine with our cattle. I don’t think huskies are herding dogs but she loves to herd. She is also fine with calfs. She sniffs them and licks them. Do you think she will attack my goats? Can the goats harm her? The breed of goats im getting are either pygmy goats or dairy goats. Any info or advice is helpful. thank you
She has chased after deer many times. Of course she cant catch one. those thing are extremely fast!
she’ll need to be trained not to mess with them..My intact (horns and attitude) pygmy buck messed up the neighbors lab when he tried to chase him around..

and just for the record: the smell of a goat will NOT make a dog aggressive..the smell of a rutting buck will, however, make you want to lose your lunch…
