Is Blue Buffalo Dog Food a good dog food?
Hey! I recently just got a really cute adult cocker spaniel! Her family was going to send her to the shelter, so I felt bad, and took her in! Supposedly many trainers say she is traumatized and was isolated, so now I really want to take care of her. First I want to start out with better food. They gave me most of her supplies and they feed her Kibbles and Bits! Im guessing that isnt a good dog food, so I heard many good reviews on Blue Buffalo Chicken and Brown Rice with Lifebits. I’m thinking of trying it also because it is holistic, it seems to be one of the cheaper premium dog foods at PetSmart, so what do you think? Will it give her diarrhea? How should I switch her over?

Even though you have found a healthier alternative to the current dog food, you dog may not know that and as a creature of habit, would prefer the old to the new. With this in mind, the first few tries may be difficult. However, with a few simple tricks and tips, the transition should be easy.
Gradual change to a more healthy dog food is the key, so start by mixing the old and new food together in a 25% to 75% ratio of new to old. Over the next few days, slowly increase the ratio of new food while decreasing the old food. At the end of this process, the new food will make up 100% of the food bowl.
