What is the best type of cattle to have for beef?
what is the best type of cattle to have for beef. Are Charolais’s good, are Limousin’s, how about angus?
Alot of people like angus for their fast growth rate. Charolais has an extreamly fast growth rate as well and in my oppinion are much better mothers than angus. Limousin is alright not my favorite by anymeans but they get the job done. more breeds to look into would be simmental, brafords, herfords, brangus, simbrah ect. Ive raised all the breeds listed here and they all do great in the heat, and rain. Simmental, Brafords, Brangus, and Simbrah will eat dang near anything so you don’t have to put alot of money into them for feed and fillers and such.
