Is this a pregnancy test for human labor in a cow?
My father bought some cattle of a neighbor, and was told that cows were "the bull", but it has not been determined to have been reproduced successfully. He had the idea that instead of having the vet come out and get tested for pregnancy …. he buy a pregnancy test of man and hold in cow urine stream. (I'm sooooo glad he did not ask me for help with this!) The test record accurately? I hope I have posted this question in the appropriate forum, I tried to find a "farm" category, but could not. Agriculture was the closest.
No human test will not work but there are other ways to determine if cattle are raised. The safest way fire to see if your livestock is to have the vet out and Pregnancy check them out. If they were raised to more than 35 days, the vet can feel the calf rectal palpation. It is also a blood test that measures the protein of placenta, but there are not very many places provide testing now and it would not bother for a few cows couple. If you do not want to call the vet (I), you can always see if the cattle come back into heat (ready to breed). When a cow is in heat, she will act different than normal. Depending on the cow, it can here, go off feed, change in social behavior, etc.. The only something that almost all cows do not ride each other (I'm serious here). A cow in heat standing for another cow riding. A cow in heat will try also mount another cow but the cow if background is not in heat, she will walk. The cows are in heat every 21 days or if not pregnant so just keep that in mind.
