any good information regarding cattle feed for dairy purposes?
want to know some ingredients for cattle to get good quantity of milk
There are three aspects in milk production:
1-Quantity.
2-Quality.
3-Hygiene.
For quantity you have a selected cattle breeds known with their high production capacity. For these cows to produce milk they have to be healthy, no diseases especially parasitic and feverish diseases(viral or bacterial). Then we come to quantity. The ingredients of high quality milk determine the type of diet you are suppose to feed. You must feed diet high in carbohydrates to produce enough energy for production (crush grains ) mixed with high protein diet ( cakes, beans) together with filling substances (grasses and wheat bran). Green fodder is rich in both carbohydrates and protein and also multivitamins. Additives like minerals, commercial multivitamins trace elements are also required.
This is for production of naturally high quality milk without introducing any hormones!
