What is www.farmads.ie ?
I came across this site recently ( www.farmads.ie ) , and am confused as to what its supposed to be. Something to do with farming in Ireland. Agriculture is not my strong point. Maybe some farmers out there can help, or people who live on a farm or own farms. Farmads sounds like a funny name for a classified ads website. Who needs free ads anyway? Can you imagine people selling livestock (cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, deer, chickens, turkeys, etc) and farm machinery (tractors, diggers etc). online? Do farmers even own computers? They could just use the Buy and Sell or The Farmer’s Journal instead. www.farmads.ie confuses the hell out of me.
First, not all farmers live way out in the country… and now there is satellite internet, you can get internet almost anywhere.
Second, we personally sell beef and cattle on www.craigslist.com. I don’t see a problem with it. They don’t necessarily have to ship the animals or machinery, it could be a local thing. A lot of people use online ads to sell agriculture related animals and equipment.
