What is the best way to restrain a dangerous horse to trim their hooves?
I bought this horse 2 years ago.
She was and still is a huge hassle and very dangerous when we trim her hooves.
I’ve tried B-Kalm on her but it hasn’t worked.
Should I use a twitch? Tranquilizers?
I need help! Her hooves are too long now, and I don’t want to have anymore problems.

I think that the most important thing to do is retrain her to be calm and have her hooves handled. Every day take the time to pick up her hooves, etc. Pretend that you are trimming them, with scissors or anything. When other horses are being shod or trimmed take her to stand next to the farrier and reward her when she is relaxed. Also, get other people to pick up her hooves, etc to show her that it won’t hurt. This will take a while, so in the meantime I would talk to your farrier or vet and see what they think will work the best. Good luck!
