Paint Respray – Horse box?
Hi,
Just bought a horsebox, lovely condition inside but exterior paint very flakey!
Can count 3 coats – she’s 20 years old this lorry.
My local coachworks will spray her but won’t strip her first.
Any ides what I can do myself before they spray so new paint doesn’t just flake off?
Ahhhh – she is aluminium except the back ramp, which is wood .
Ramp quite new and not peeling at all so could just have a fresh coat on that I think.

No problem, my advice would be to use some paint stripper to get the majority of the old paint off. Then use a D/A sander to prep the wood before you get it sprayed.
