Is Las Vegas Dancer Barbie more exciting than Pre-Vet Med Barbie?
In the Career Barbie Series, Pre-Vet Med Barbie looks very wholesome in her denim skirt with her bandaged horse & kitten on the scale, waiting to be weighed.
It didn’t take long to realize that nearby Fairytastic Barbie, with gorgeous purple hair, purple costume, & gigantic purple wings, looks like she’s ready to dance on stage in Las Vegas.
In the end, I bought no Barbies as one of the shoppers for our group, which had pooled our money to fulfill some of the wishes of children in low-income families. I went for the books & the craft kits & art supplies. The group is fairly anti-Barbie anyway.
Every year seems to be an education in the toy dept. for this youngish & in some ways naive senior citizen. It’s fun, though.
(naive only when it comes to knowledge of currently popular toys)
I think Las Vegas Dancer Barbie would be more qualified for her work position. Also, Vegas Dancer Barbie probably has better job security in this market, and would be a better reflection of the modern Barbie.
Pre-Med Vet Barbie isn’t going anywhere until she gets her doctorate anyway.
