Horse Fencing & taking a horse to college?! HELPPPP!?
I could possibly get a horse if I had a fence, I want a horse safe fence but my mom says it’ll cost 8000$ to fence about a acre or smaller piece of land. Is it cheaper to buy fencing online? Or where did you buy yours from and what in your opinion is the best type of fencing?

Did you have enough time for him or was it REALLY expensive? I would have a job while I was in college and my mom would help pay, would that work? Because I want to get a horse but I’m a junior in high school and don’t want to have a horse for 2 years and then have to sell it or leave it at home where it wouldn’t get ridden. I have a college in mind where you can board your horse on campus.
As someone said, wire fencing is good. A big enough charger will cost you less than a hundred dollars, and don’t worry about your horse getting shocked a lot. Unless they’re a complete idiot, they’ll know exactly where that wire is, and will avoid it.
For an example, I know a woman, she has oh…Six or so stallions. All of them are very well behaved but one. Not surprising, his father was a nut case. Well, he’s a terror. Kicks, climbs fences, bites… Stereotypical bad stallion. Unfortunately, he has genetics against him, and she’s older now, so I don’t think that she has the time that she was able to devote to her other boys who are all much older.
Anyway, his stall is hot wires all the way around. And he stands there in his stall, spinning, bucking, glaring at the other horses, and he will stop an inch away from touching the wire.
It’s a shame he’s such a wild child, though because damn he’s a looker and bloodlines to die for to boot.
