How much would owning a ranch and living out in the country cost?
Yah, very lacking in information.. o.x (( I don’t wanna put the state where I live online, which is why its lacking in info. )) But about how much money would I need to buy a ranch and some horses (( And what animals would I need? I’m so clueless about all of this but I really want to do this when I’m older. )) and all the other animals for the ranch (( a SMALL ranch )) and I’ll make money writing books and possibly making music..
How much money would it cost to buy the ranch, the animals, the feed, the people to help out with the ranch and then how much would it cost, about monthly, to keep it up? Would I even be making enough money to keep it up?
The best way to work into this would be to take 4 H classes or FFA or vocational ag classes as soon as possible. If you are in a large city and can not take these classes then try and find a unpaid or low pay job at a veterinary. This would teach you how to take care of animals and put you in touch with people that know a lot about a wide type of animals.
When you are older- I would find a job on a farm or ranch to learn something about how they are run. This would be very important before you start putting your own money into it.
Also just for fun maybe you can watch an old TV show about a big city lawyer that decided to give it all up and move out to a farm. He does everything wrong and must have had huge amounts of money because he was able to come back each week and try again. It is “Green Acres”.
