Should I sell my horse?
I’m 15 and i’ve been riding for 6 years now. I got a horse about a year and a half ago and I still do not feel comfortable riding her. Every time i canter her she puts her ears back and sometimes when I ride her she tries to buck me off. This has been going on ever since I got her. I just think I should sell her to a good home and buy a horse that I would actually feel comfortable riding, and showing for the first time on a horse I would trust because I don’t trust my horse at all. By the way the horse that I have is an off the track thoroughbred.

Absolutely sell her. Mares can be very moody and cantankerous at times. You would be much better off getting a nice gelding, and Thoroughbreds can be quite a stinker at times. It is in their breeding, and they can be very high strung. If you are not comfortable with her by now, I don’t think you ever will be. In order to bond with any horse, you have to trust them and not be wondering what they are going to do next or if you are going to end up on the ground, or in a tree some where. So, I would suggest selling her and getting a horse better suited for you and one you know you can trust. Best Of luck to you
