im NOT planning on buying her, i was just looking around and came across her ad… is she lame (when worked too hard) because of her back?

ive never seen a horses back that bad before, and im shocked that they think she would be a good broodmare! crazy! so yeah, what you guys think?
thanks
I don’t think so. It’s more likely that because of the way her hind legs tie in she has sore stifles or hocks. She looks pretty heavy, too, which doesn’t help her poor joints at all. If they are just riding her out on the trail once a month or so, being weekend warriors, she might just be lame from lack of consistent work.
I’ve seen horses with MUCH worse sway backs then hers. She has a long back and a weak hind end anyway, which may contribute to it. If she has had previous breedings, had been broke young, ridden out of frame for years, had many heavy unschooled riders, or had been generally neglected from birth you could get that sway back.
I wouldn’t breed her and not only because of her back and hind. I wouldn’t breed 99% of all horses, simply because they wouldn’t contribute to the improvement of their breed.
