What other kinds of grounds for an indoor arena?
My friend and her mom bought a farm to keep their three horses in, Mac, Star, and Sweet Pea. It’s AWESOME. they have an indoor arena, trails, and an outdoor. however, the indoor arena, the ground is made of tires (shredded) and sand. It seems a liitle weird, but the footing is GREAT and my friends mom says it’s better for the horses joints as well. I thought it was awesome, but had never heard of it. What other kinds of grounds can indoor arenas have? My lesson barn just has dirt.
I’ve been in indoors with all sorts of footing. The shredded tire is really nice and I’ve also heard that it is good for the horses joints. My favorite footing was shredded leather!! No dust and it was so soft!
