Do we really need to drink milk?
Are we really meant to drink it? Like cows milk is for cows not humans… I know you will say it is a source of calcium but I heard it doesn’t get absorbed well by the body, and seriously think about it why is a cow any different from any other milk producing animal, well it isn’t, it’s just socially accepted and if monkeys milk was for sale I don’t think anyone would drink it. And well society has been brainwashed into thinking its good for you, when we probably aren’t even meant to drink it, it’s for the cows baby’s not for grown adult humans, it gross because it comes from cows teets as well. And the cruelty in the dairy industry is horrible. I hate the taste and it gives me mucous so I don’t drink it anymore. If your wondering I don’t eat meat either.
I’m sorry if this is a rant but I have always wondered why people think it’s OK to drink cows milk.
Milk or dairy is not necessary if that’s what you are saying and I agree.. However, you and I can say that because we have a lot of choices when it comes to our food.. we can buy what we want, when we want, where we want..However, not all humans have the same luxuries as we do. For some less fortunate ones, milk (powdered) and donated milk at that is often the only reliable source of protein and other nutrients. If milk is not a nutritious food that can help sustain a human body, would man have eaten it for the last 10,000 years?
FYI – cow’s milk is not the only dairy product that is “socially acceptable” as you call it.. milk consumed by humans come from goats, sheep, buffalo, yak, camels even horses…
If you have misgivings about the dairy industry and the thought of consuming from another animal;, fine don’t drink milk or eat dairy products. But do not assume everyone has the same principles (or even taste) as you do nor that everyone have the same luxury of choice that you enjoy. .
