Is there an Australian Cattle dog Rescue in……?
North Carolina?
If you don’t know can you tell me how to look for one.
I know there is one in Tennessee but I don’t know if the will adopt out to people in North carolina.
I know there are a couple of breeders in NC and if there isn’t a breed rescue we will go through one of them but I just wanted to check on Breed rescue for the Cattle dog in NC
I just feel I have a better chance of getting a purebred young puppy from a Breed Rescue than just a regular shelter.
But it may just take getting one from a breeder.
Atleast then we know its history such as parents grandparents.
If I get one I’m looking to get a female between the ages of 10 and 12 weeks of age
Also we are looking around the Charlotte area. But we are willing to go as far as middle Tn and as far north as Virginia and as far south as Georgia.
We are seriously thinking breeder
But we still have plenty of time before we think seriously on getting one.
Many rescue groups operate on a National basis, with regional affiliates handling local rescue and adoption. I know that in Australian Shepherds, our two major adoption groups not only adopt out nationally, but arrange transport to and from potential homes in other states.
