Amigo Horse Rugs

what are good turnout rugs?

my horse has an amigo tunout rug (no fill) that i bought at the start of summer
the stitching on the belly straps came away 2 weeks after i got it, not ripped, you could see where the stitching had been perfectly
anyway the other day i went up and the other side had come away exactly the same

so i am looking for a good turnout rug for the summer – no fill
and one for winter – medium around 220g

does anyone have any suggestions that wont break the bank
the summer rug is for when the nights are abit colder and wet, so shes dry but she never uses it in the day

I’m surprised your Amigo went, all 3 of my horses have them and they are the toughest to break!

If it is stitching that has gone, as opposed to a rip of tear made by your horse then it’s faulty goods and (under British law) you can return it for a refund or swap I think.

All my previous rugs have been Horseware Ireland and only never had a problem with them, even my old mare who went through rugs on almost a monthly basis by ripping them seemed to take long to destroy them!
